Oh No the Big 40.....

Let me start off by saying Thank You to: the Love of My Life, My Family, and all my Friends. This celebration was one of the Best! I definitely was surprised in more ways than one. I’m still surprised that Jeremy could actually hide this from me. Never in a million years, did I know that all of you were waiting for me to make my grand entrance. Don’t get me wrong I knew we were going to Pappasito’s for dinner. But what Jeremy failed to tell me was that he was throwing a surprise birthday bash for my 40th. From what I was told, we were going to meet the Morales and the Jacksons for dinner.

On the way there, I was telling Jeremy that I was so disappointed with my Brother (Art). He’s normally one of the first to call me for my birthday and I hadn’t heard from him. Little did I know him and Brenda were part of the planning. Thank ya’ll so much for all the planning and time you guys spent on this. I know it wasn’t easy and I appreciate it with all my heart. Love ya'll! Art, you’re off the hook for not calling! Ma and Papaw thank you for raising your son to be the man of my dreams. I’m blessed and he means the world to me. Jay, thank you so much for making it happen. I love you so much!

The love that I felt that night is hard to explain. Celebrating a birthday close to Christmas and New Years has always been hard. The sacrifice that my family and friends made means a lot to me and I’ll never forget it. Thank Ya’ll so very much for the great memories!! I’m going to embrace the big 40 and my first white hair. Love Ya’ll!

"My heart is filled with joy just knowing that we are thought of, cared for and loved by you. You are my strength when the world is on my shoulder and my encouragement and support when I need that extra push. Even in the times when my life becomes hectic and I am too busy to let you know how much I love you, your love never wavers. You’ve given me the gift of unconditional love with the promise of forever. Thank you for all that you are, all that you do and all that you have been to me. You have given so much of yourself to me, and I only pray that I can use it to become half of who you are. You fill my life with joy and happiness! " Blue Mountain

Happy Birthday, Gram!!
Love you with all my heart,
Letty

2011 Christmas Eve

We had two weeks in the states for our Christmas vacation. We spent a couple of days at home. Than we headed to Three Rivers to celebrate Christmas and my Grandma's Birthday. It's always great to be able to get everyone together under one roof. We were at Nana's and Nez house for Christmas Eve. We exchanged gifts that night with our immediate family. It's times like this that I treasure and cherish especially when we get back to Saudi.

We are truly blessed!!

Winter Picnic - December 17, 2011

Wow, I must apologize it's been a while since I've been on our blog. Let me start off with Devin's "winter picnic" at Murjan. I thought it would be a great idea to have his class over for some fun. It turned out to be a beautiful cold day but they survived. The kids had a blast playing, eating and finding ways to stay warm. There were a total of 40 friends. The kids had a packed snack and I made a popcorn bar. (Got the idea from pinterest.) I made oreo, kool-aid, and regular popcorn. Oh, how can I forget the popcorn balls!! It was fun just watching the kids trying to make a decision as to what flavor they wanted. I decided to do this the day before and drove myself a little crazy. I keep forgetting that we're in Saudi. I wanted to simplify my life and just have different seasoning as topping....we'll that didn't work. Couldn't find any....what was I thinking?? Once it was all said and done I must say the headache was well worth it. The kids had great manners, were very appreciative and left with a smile on their face. It was a great way to start our Christmas Break.
