Let the FUN begin.....

The time has come.....!!! We're so excited and it's hard to contain ourselves. The boys have worked very hard these past few months. If they weren't scrimmaging or practicing they were either in the batting cages and/or on the field having their private lessons with Matt or Dan. We're thrilled that the Grandparents get to share in on the excitement!! Please say a little prayer for safe travels and for us to all stay healthy. We travel tonight to Austria then Poland. We'll be in Austria for a week and then we'll travel by train to Poland. We'll meet Papaw, Grammy, Ma and Nana in Poland!! The regional tournament will determine who will represent the Middle East/Africa in the World Series! Go NIGHTHAWKS!!

Best Pre-Reception Class.....EVER!!

Who said we can't have ice cream for breakfast? To jump start their summer the Pre-Reception class enjoyed ice cream with some yummy toppings! I must say the class is well behaved and have great manners. Devin will miss his teachers and his friends. The first few days he would wake up and ask do I have school today? Is Khaliq (our Driver) outside waiting?

This is totally off the subject but must share. Last night on the way home from baseball Devin falls asleep. Cody is trying everything in his will power to wake him up. Just like most of us when you don't wake up on your own your pretty grumpy.....well that's Devin. So I'm telling Cody If you wake him up your grounded buddy. Cody gets in Devin face without touching him.....and of course......Devin wakes up. He's a little grumpy. Cody looks at me and says Mom have you ever noticed that Devin has a lazy eye. I say yes. Then he says BTW what does a lazy eye mean? Devin looks at Cody and says that happens when your sleepy! Too cute!! Love my, Boys!!

NIGHTHAWKS SLEEPOVER

I'm really not sure where time goes but one thing is for sure we're having a Ball!! We hosted the Nighthawks over to spend the night. Cody's the only player that doesn't live on the Aramco Compound. So after their scrimmage on Thursday night they were headed to Murjan. Yes, on the Chevron bus! I stayed home to get the last details done. For dinner, I grilled some steaks, corn on the cob and fries. Upon arrival Cody showed them around the compound. The only restrictions were whatever they decided to do they had to do it as a team. Their options were to go bowling, watch a movie, swim or to just hang out at the villa. Needless to say, they did all of the above. Later that night, I made them some milkshakes. Some slept for a few hours but the majority stayed up all night. For breakfast, Jeremy made chocolate chip pancakes, pigs in a blanket, sausage and fruit. He must have made over 50 pancakes and some were asking for more for lunch. We took it easy for lunch and had Subway!! The following morning Devin wakes up...the first thing he says is "Where are all my best friends?" So sweet!! We are blessed with an awesome group of young men and parents!! Go NIGHTHAWKS!!

Travel Team - Baseball Dubai Scrimmages

Khalifia Bridge Tower evening view

Nighthawks flew over to Dubai for 4 friendly games as a warm-up
to upcoming Middle East Regional.  It was a great weekend and some good
baseball.  The boys won all 4 games, with a couple of tight match-ups
over the weekend.  Cody was on the mound pitching first game and went 4 innings
not allowing a run.  Brandon came in and relieved concluding the shut-out.

Jubail 2011-2012 Sports Banquet

We attended the 2011-2012 Jubail Sports Banquet a few weeks ago. It was held at Intercontinental Hotel. We enjoyed dinner followed by an award ceremony. Cody was a major factor in all the sports he participated in. We're proud to announce that he was awarded the "MVP" player in soccer. Since the school is so small they have to combine 6 graders thru 9 graders to come up with a team. Next year we will allow him to play cricket. Since he made the travel team for baseball he wasn't allowed to try out for the team this year. In my opinion, there is a major difference in how you hit a baseball compared to a cricket ball. Way to go, Codeman!! So very proud of you!!
