Arsenal World Cup-Here we come

Please keep our family in your prayers as we travel to London for Cody's 3v3 Arsenal Tournament! We're so excited to be honest I think I'm more excited than the Codeman!! I think it will hit him once he arrives and walks on the pitch at Emirates Stadium.........!!!!!!!!!

Go Jaguars

Making the transition from Bahrain to Saudi has worked out great for Cody! He was asked by the Basketball Coach to join the team. He was so excited that after physical education he asked his teacher if he could go to the restroom. He called me from there to tell me the great news. There were only 2 tournaments remaining. However, he was just thrilled to be asked to play for the junior high team. They have an awesome team. So I really didn't know how much playing time he would get. The tournament they hosted he ended up with 4 pts the first game, 2 pts the second game and 9 pts for the Championship game. We're so PROUD of him! There have been many changes in our lives these past few months and he's handled the transition the BEST!!

Look Whose Started Day Care

Devin has completed his first month of day care and he LOVES it!!! It's located in our compound (here in Saudi) and very convenient. There are a total of 8 boys. He'll wake up in the morning and say "okay let's get ready for school." It's become a routine for him to ask....Did Bubba go to school? Is Dada at work? What about Mr Dave is he at work? ("Mr Dave" is one of Jeremy's coworkers that is staying with us temporary while on a short job assignment.) I can't believe how time flies. He'll be three in a couple of months. He's definitely a handful but such a blessing! My friend Faith always says two is a difficult age but it's nothing that three can't fix. I need to remind myself to cherish the moment(s).

Fontana di Trevi

Neptune, God of the Sea, is riding a chariot pulled by two sea horses. One horse is calm and the other is restless, which represents the moods of the sea. This is by far my favorite fountain. To ensure a return trip we did throw a coin into the Trevi, with our back to the fountain, throwing the coin with our right hand over our left shoulder. What fun.....looking forward to our next visit!

*The majority of my night pictures didn't turn out as I expected. Which included the coin tossing and a group family picture in front of the fountain :( :( so I know there will be a next time!

A day at the Vatican

We took a taxi to the Vatican and toured the museums. I don't remember that many museums when Jeremy and I toured it in '96. It just went on and on and on. There really wasn't an exit......until the end. We were committed to tour all the museums that were connected one way or the other. The sculptures, paintings and tapesteries are amazing!! We didn't get to see the Pope this time but felt very blessed just being there!  Later that night, Cody taught me a few games of cards. All in all, we had an awesome day!
