I was so relieved....Santa found us in Texas! It was so wonderful to be home for the holidays. We spent
Christmas Eve and Day in 3-Rivers.  Cody got his much anticipated I-Pod touch
and Santa brought Devin a little train that he could sit on and ride while learning
the alphabet.  Both boys got "Texas" stuff from NaNa who was trying to convert them over to
the wrong UT!

We were so thankful we got to be home for our annual neighborhood
Christmas progressive dinner party.  It is such a great time and wonderful food.
This year we all teamed up at 3 different houses.  Letti and I chipped in on main course and
made lamb chops and sides to go with it.  Wishing you all the best in 2010 and beyond.
You can't beat good friends, and espcially good friends who happen to be your neighbors

Ma's Candyland

Ma created a candyland (boardgame) scene with Christmas decorations. The layout was exactly like the boardgame. She's so creative. She layed different color of carpet pieces to indicate the different spots. The pictures were taken at night and they really do no justice. Her creativity is amazing. The kids enjoyed going thru the scene and viewing all of the little details. Kaylynn was there guide.

Charlie Brown - Ice Gaylord Opryland Hotel (Nashville, Tn)

We decided to spend the night in Nashville the night before our flight to Texas. We stayed at the Gaylord Opryland Hotel. It was decorated for Christmas and we had plenty of photo opts. Cody said that it's a 7 star hotel. We had such a great time. During the day we went to the Charlie Brown - Ice exhibit. The one word that I can say to describe it is AMAZING! 1.5 million pounds of ice is used to create this amazing exhibit. We had to wear the blue rain coats because the temperature inside is 9 degrees. It was cold. We were in Awww! Cody & Grammie enjoyed sliding down the slide. They had entertainment at the Hotel. For my birthday we had an awesome dinner. Thank You, Grammie & Papaw! It was so delicious!

Papaw & Devin

Our first week in the states we flew to Tn. We celebrated Christmas early and had our annual steak dinner with the Lancaster's, Hatcher's, Ledlow's & Cross' ! I believe this is the 4th year Jeremy & Papaw have grilled steaks for the family. And boy are they yummy! It's always fun but I seem to gain at least 10 lbs while we're there. Cody enjoys driving the golf cart. I guess he's a pretty good driver because Devin was asleep by the time they reached the end of the driveway:(  Magic is such a good sport because Devin wouldn't leave her alone. Too bad we can't bring her with us to Bahrain. We enjoyed spending time with Grandmother Kay she's an inspiration! As always, it's such a pleasure spending time with family and making great memories!!

Going for Gold

To all of our loyal fans "Thank you so much for your patience"! We're back in business: everyone is well, we've adjusted to the time change (sigh) and I really shouldn't write this because I'm afraid to jinks it but I'm not having problems downloading our pictures (yeah)!! I gotta feeling today is going to be a good day:)

A day after we landed in Houston, Jeremy registered the Kingwood Cannonballs in the Woodlands Winter Blast. And boy was it a "Blast"! It was very cold, rainy and muddy. But the Cannonballs had fun. They went 5-0 and are the 2009 Winter Blast Champions!! Way to go Cannonballs:)
