Tractor Show in Indiana
It's a small world after all }
When we moved to Kingwood Jeremy was in search of a Barber. At the time Cody was just 2 and didn't like hair cuts......at all. One of our neighbors recommended the Grand Slam. That is where we meet our dear friend Marty. He was so kind to actually come to our house to cut Cody's hair. We thought that Cody would do better in the comfort of his own room. And he did! Jeremy recommended "his Barber" to Pa. It turns out that Pa and Marty know each other from the early 70's! They both lived in Nashville and played in the same band. Who would of thought that Pa would reunite with one of his dearest friends in Kingwood. Pa only lets the BEST cut his hair. It had been over a year since his last haircut, with Marty. He finds himself, after 10 years, still making house calls!
Marty, Thank You So Much For All That You Do.....Love Ya!

Dinner with the Jackson's
Let me hear ya say Backstreet Cafe!!! The restaurant is a '30s-era house that was converted into a Cafe. It's known for their brunch and their legendary New Orleans-style patio. For dinner: Jeremy had Grilled Trout, Roger had Lamb Chops, Wendy had Shrimp with stone ground cheese grits and I had there fabulous blackened Rib Eye. YUMMO!!! Thanks to Grammie we were able to enjoy great company and dessert!!
Sunday morning photos
Letti is always good about getting out the camera and taking family pictures.
We stopped and took a few before church on Sunday morning. Thanks for a wonderful visit! We sure do miss you guys :(
Celebrating Papaw's Birthday 2010
Happy Birthday, Papaw!! Grammie made the BEST birthday cake ever!! It was a coconut cake and man o man was it delicious!! We had our usual brisket, beans, pico and potato salad! I know you guys probably think we can't make anything else but it was a special request from the Birthday Boy! When we're home in Texas we enjoy our brisket. Time sure did go by fast but we enjoyed every minute of Grandmother Kay, Papaw and Grammies visit. Grandmother flew all the way from TN by herself and she is a great traveler. We are so glad they could make it. As she says "We have the best family in the world". All families should be able to say that!
MLS All-Star Vs Manchester United
Jeremy surprised us with some MLS All-Star tickets!! It was a big surprise for Cody especially because the game was sold out. Manchester United scored the first goal in the fifteenth second. It happened so fast I missed it! To my surprise the majority of the fans were for Manchester United.......go figure. The Coach for the All-Stars didn't put the "Main All-Star" players in until the 80th minute. Which explains, in my opinion, the outcome of the game. The final score Manchester United 5 - 2 MLS All-Stars :( The best part of it all was when a Gentleman came up to me and gave us $50 vouchers to buy whatever from the concession stand. Needless, to say we splurged!!

Two Years Old
Devin enjoyed his birthday party celebrating with his cousins! Nana made a brisket, beans, potato salad and pico it was so delicious! And of course, ice cream cake from Marble Slab! Devin is so funny! Ma bought him some trick candles and he was a little confused! He would blow out the candles, look away and to his surprise the candles were relit. He received a tee ball set and loves it!! However, we have to say "Batter, Batter Swing" before he actually swings the bat! Aunt Mary said I need to record it and play it for him so that he can entertain himself. What a great idea!! I must say he can hit the ball pretty good. The last picture shows exactly what happens when you turn 2 years old.....notice the gum :}
